1. Workspace
Clean, flat surface away from drafts. Wipe with 70% isopropyl alcohol. Air-dry completely. Lay out all supplies before beginning.
2. Hand Hygiene
Wash 20+ seconds with soap. Dry with lint-free towel.
3. Vial Prep
Remove flip-top cap. Keep metal crimp seal. Swab stopper with alcohol pad (center outward). Air-dry 30 seconds.
4. Drawing
Attach 18G needle (luer-lock). Draw air equal to desired volume. Insert through stopper center. Inject air. Invert vial. Draw fluid. Tap for bubbles. Expel air. Withdraw.
5. Site Prep
Swab area center outward. Air-dry completely.
6. Disposal
Sharps go directly into container. Never recap. Never bend or break.
7. Storage
Sealed: room temp (15-25C), away from light. Punctured: use within 28 days. Keep unused supplies sealed.
